The island is small and well-connected by bus. English is the official co-language alongside Maltese, making daily life and workplace communication straightforward for international workers.

Culture & work life

Malta has a warm, welcoming culture shaped by centuries of Mediterranean, British, and European influences. English is spoken at all levels of society and in all workplaces. Maltese labour law complies with EU standards — workers have rights to fair wages, safe conditions, and regulated working hours. The construction sector operates in a professional, site-safety-focused environment.
