Finland has an active recruitment program for Industrial Painters (High-Pressure Spray Painting) and Sandblasters at shipyards and steel structure workshops located in Rauma and Uusikaupunki. The program offers a 2-year fixed-term employment contract with an immediate start upon Residence Permit (RP) approval. 20–30 positions are open. Key responsibilities include professional sandblasting for surface preparation, operating high-pressure spray painting equipment (mandatory skill), cleaning surfaces using metal brushes and industrial grinding tools, applying paint manually using brushes and rollers, and carrying out painting and surface treatment works at shipyards and steel structure workshops.
FREE accommodation is provided by the employer for the entire 2-year contract period — a very significant cost saving. Workers earn €12/hour gross (~€2,304+/month) on standard hours, with overtime available and highly encouraged including weekends, all paid under Finnish labour regulations. The employer handles the full Residence Permit process. Finland is part of the EU and Schengen Area and has one of the highest standards of living and worker protections in the world.

Accommodation is FULLY PROVIDED and FREE for the entire 2-year contract period by the employer. Workers are responsible only for personal food, transport, and personal expenses outside of work hours. Finland has excellent, affordable public transport and a world-class public healthcare system. Helsinki is the most expensive city; Rauma and Uusikaupunki (work locations) are significantly more affordable.
Finland has a highly professional, organised, and safety-focused work culture. Finnish labour law provides strong worker protections — all safety equipment and tools are supplied by the employer and the workplace fully complies with Finnish and EU safety regulations. English is sufficient for workplace communication at the shipyard sites. Large international crews are common in Finnish shipyard environments.
Mandatory proficiency in high-pressure spray painting — this is a firm requirement, not optional. Previous experience in shipbuilding or heavy industrial painting is strongly preferred. Must be able to work efficiently in large crews of 20–30 workers. Disciplined, hardworking, and committed to the full 2-year contract. All safety equipment and tools are provided by the employer.
