Overview

The USA EB-3 (Employment-Based Third Preference) Green Card program provides U.S. Permanent Residency for foreign workers who receive a permanent, full-time job offer from a U.S. employer. SkillBridge Global facilitates the placement and immigration process for qualified candidates. Available positions are in 5-star and 4-star Hotels and Hospitals, Food Service, Food Preparation, Cooking, Housekeeping, and Caregiving. This is a permanent immigration pathway — not a temporary work visa.

Why work here

The EB-3 Green Card gives you the right to live and work permanently anywhere in the United States. Your spouse and unmarried children under 21 are automatically included in your application — they receive their own Green Cards and your spouse can work full-time in any occupation. Your children can attend U.S. public schools. After 5 years as a Permanent Resident, you may apply for U.S. citizenship. This is the most comprehensive and life-changing immigration benefit offered across all our programmes.

Pay & Earnings

Salary is determined by the U.S. employer in accordance with U.S. labour law, varying by position, state, and employer. Green Card holders have the same labour rights as U.S. citizens — including Federal minimum wage ($7.25/hr; many states $15+/hr), overtime pay, safe working conditions, and anti-discrimination protections. No salary is below the applicable minimum wage for the state of employment.

Visa Options

EB-3 (Employment-Based Third Preference)
Immigrant visa leading directly to U.S. Permanent Residency (Green Card). Requires a permanent, full-time job offer from a U.S. employer. Covers unskilled workers, skilled workers, and professionals.
PERM Labor Certification (Department of Labor)
The U.S. employer completes a PERM labour certification proving no qualified U.S. workers are available. This is Step 1 of the EB-3 process, handled by the employer's U.S. attorney.
I-140 Immigrant Petition (USCIS)
Filed by the employer with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) after PERM approval. Establishes eligibility for the Green Card. Processing: standard 6–12 months; premium 15 business days.
U.S. Citizenship Pathway
Naturalization is generally available after 5 years as a Permanent Resident. Requires English language and civics tests, continuous U.S. residence, and good moral character.

Living & Culture

Cost of living

Cost of living varies significantly across U.S. states and cities. Employers provide job offers with salaries compliant with local prevailing wages under the PERM process. Detailed relocation guidance is provided during pre-departure orientation. Many hotel and hospital employers offer employee benefits including health insurance, meals, and transport.

Culture & work life

U.S. work culture is professional, fast-paced, and results-driven. As a Green Card holder you have the same labour protections as any American worker under U.S. law. Employers must comply with all Federal and state labour laws. The U.S. has large and established African professional communities in cities such as New York, Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta.

Requirements

No formal English language test required — basic English for workplace communication is sufficient. Age: generally 18–50 years preferred. No formal education requirement for unskilled positions (Food Service Worker, Housekeeping, Food Preparation). Must meet U.S. medical fitness requirements. Must meet U.S. police clearance requirements. Employer sponsorship required for all EB-3 applications.
